Fluorine rubber (FKM) is an organic elastomer made of fluorine-containing monomer copolymer. In addition to excellent heat resistance, media resistance, and good physical and mechanical properties, it also has low permanent deformation in compression, good elasticity, and long service life. Fluoroelastomer has outstanding heat and oil resistance and can be used for cylinder gasket material. The disadvantage is poor cold resistance, the use of temperature range: -30 ℃ ~ +230 ℃.
The vulcanization system of fluoroelastomer has three types: amine vulcanization, bisphenol (polyol) vulcanization, and peroxide vulcanization. Among them, amine vulcanization is characterized by large compression permanent deformation, and bisphenol (polyol) vulcanization is characterized by low compression permanent deformation but slightly poor water resistance.
Peroxide vulcanization is characterized by excellent water resistance, resistance to amines in some lubricants, no cracking, and balanced performance, but somewhat expensive.
Silicone rubber (VMQ) is a special rubber containing silicon and oxygen atoms in the main chain, with excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, but the mechanical strength of ordinary silicone rubber is low, and the resistance to oil and solvents is poor.
